Chongqing, as a key witness to the Far East command center of the global fight against fascism, has fully preserved the former residence of General Stilwell, Chief of Staff of the Allied China Theater Command, where he lived from 1942 to 1944. The residence hosted key figures such as Lord Louis Mountbatten, the Supreme Allied Commander in Southeast Asia; and General Brehon Somervell, Chief of U.S. Services of Supply, who gathered here for military discussions, meals, and overnight stays. Upon entering the museum, the guests were immediately drawn to the restored displays and images. They carefully read the texts, examined the photos and artifacts, watched documentaries, and eagerly shared their views on historical research, engaging in discussions with each other. When they saw images and items they hadn’t encountered before, they studied every detail and took photos with their phones for future reference.
