据该校友会活动组织者、空军幼年学校第18期学员饶远平介绍，空军幼年学校于1940年在四川灌县（今都江堰市）成立，至1945年共招收6期2000余名学员，这些学员毕业后分布于祖国各地和海外。后来有的成为飞虎队王牌飞行员、空军将领和民航飞行员，有的成了科学家、教授、院士，还有的是艺术家和企业家。1949年夏季，空军幼年学校迁至中国台湾，并在1958年恢复招生至1978年停办。2011年，为加强两岸校友联系、促进两岸友好交流，空军幼年学校校友会成立，当年在重庆首次大聚会，参访了重庆史迪威博物馆。13年后的这次校友会，访问重庆史迪威博物馆再次成为活动内容之一，他们发现博物馆环境更加优美，设施齐备；展区面积更大，展览陈设丰富，讲解内容详实。

According to Rao Yuanping, an organizer of the event and a member of the 18th class of the Air Force Primary School, the school was established in 1940 in Guan County (now Dujiangyan City), Sichuan Province, and it had enrolled over 2,000 students across six classes by 1945. These graduates later worked in various places in the motherland and overseas. Some became ace pilots of the Flying Tigers, air force generals, and civil aviation pilots, while others became scientists, professors, academicians, artists, and entrepreneurs. In the summer of 1949, the Air Force Primary School relocated to Taiwan,China, resumed enrollment in 1958, and ceased operations in 1978. In 2011, the Air Force Primary School Alumni Association was established with the purpose to strengthen connections among alumni across Taiwan Straits and promote friendly exchanges. In the same year, they held their first major gathering in Chongqing and visited the Chongqing Stilwell Museum. Thirteen years later, revisiting the museum has once again become part of their alumni event. They found the museum more beautiful in its environment, with improved facilities and a larger exhibition area. The exhibitions boast rich displays, and the interpretation is detailed and informative.
